CEDA is currently looking for a Sandblaster & Coater in the Bonnyville area. This role will primarily be based in a shop environment with deployment to various site locations in the region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sandblasting material and doing the proper testing and documentation
• Select appropriate coating and mix as per manufacturers specifications
• Testing the atmosphere and paint/coating thicknesses and filling out the required documentation
• Holiday testing when required and filling out the proper documentation
• Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment
• Complete jobs in a timely manor
• Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Coordinate with onsite client representatives
• Drive to site and from various sites in a company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

• 3+ years of directly related work experience operating various types of sandblasting & coating equipment
• Knowledgeable in conventional and airless spray applications
• Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
• NACE Level 1 is considered an asset
• Valid H2S Alive, Confined Space, CSTS-09 or CSO, Fall Protection & AWP certificates are an asset, we will provide training!
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Skills:

• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Experience with trouble shooting issues in the field
• Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
