Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector at our client site near Fort McMurray. This is a temporary position expected to last 8-12 weeks. The successful candidate must be available to start work immediately. CEDA is open to applications from DSPs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support site supervisors, project superintendents, project managers, foreman, trades personnel and other project personnel by educating and engaging them in all aspects of CEDA’s Quality Management System
  • Establish and maintain project quality control job files
  • Index creation, progressive maintenance and timely submission of project turnover documentation as per client requirements
  • Assign and verify compliance to company weld procedures
  • Manage project NDE subcontractor and verify NDE compliance to project requirements
  • Prepare hydro test packages, verify completion of pre/post-hydro activities and witness hydro testing, creation of regulatory data sheets (AB-83, etc.)
  • Maintain records of non-conformance’s, corrective & preventive actions; communicate information to all relevant parties and ensure timely closeout of the agreed actions
  • Review, audit, issue and store all quality related job files
  • Provide trouble-shooting expertise to manage any and all quality related issues that arise    

Qualifications

  • CWB level 3 or minimum 5 years experience as CWB level 2 
  • Experience in a in a construction or fabrication environment is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products including Word and Excel
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
