Job Description

In this role, you will collaborate with assigned teams, stakeholders and clients. As a Project Manager, you will help establish metrics to determine success of projects (e.g. budget, timelines, meeting objectives) and will be expected to communicate and report on status updates with respect to objectives. In addition, you will have Scrum Master responsibilities; coordinating the project teams’ daily activities. You must be a decisive, flexible and resourceful leader as well as an outstanding team builder.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various client development projects simultaneously
  • Plan and lead Scrum meetings (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, sprints, etc.)
  • Identify and help resolve team blocking issues
  • Organize and play a key role in project kickoffs, and manage project scope;
  • Balance original project scope and evolving needs of the clients
  • Collaborate in the development of timelines for systems design and project delivery;
  • Identify in collaboration with project specialists and technical leads, the risk factors that could jeopardize project delivery and ultimate system quality, and determine preventive measures for managing these risk factors;
  • Monitor established project timelines in order to be able to quickly identify and rectify schedule slippage;
  • Serve as the interface between various departments and clients;
  • Ensure that project costs are managed according to established objectives;
  • Ensure that projects are documented according to internal project management processes (ISO 9001).

Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can think outside the box and possess the mental agility to make an impact within their role quickly. The ideal candidate will have solid business acumen and be able to manage project details, as well as drive a “big picture” perspective.

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering;
  • 5 years of experience in technical project management;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Scrum Master certification (an asset);
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology principles;
  • Outstanding time management and organization skills;
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA and other Agile Lifecycle Management tools (an asset);
  • Bilingual (oral and written).
