Job Description

We are currently seeking a hard working, knowledgeable, and detail oriented System Administrator. The successful candidate will be team-oriented and able to take projects from inception to completion with moderate direction. The candidate will also be in charge of maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving internal infrastructure. Positive attitude and dedication are a must. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily health check, monitoring, and security of internal environment including servers, network, and users.
  • Administration, maintenance, and improvement of on site Cisco networking equipment
  • Accountable for the internal service desk and ticket triage
  • Responsible for the daily administration of internal devices (MacBook Pros, Printers, Windows Laptops) including virus scanning, security, basic networking and troubleshooting. 
  • Provide end-user support for all hardware and office automation software
  • Evaluate and recommend personal computing equipment and software packages for office network 
  • Track systems inventory 
  • Participate in projects with the rest of the IT team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience 
  • 2+ years of strong networking with routers, security appliances, and layer 2 and 3 switches.
  • 2+ years experience with server hardware 
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Mac OS environment and desktop support
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently 
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization 

  • Preferred Requirements:
  • 2+ years network experience.
  • CCNA (or higher certification.
  • Experience with: JAMF Casper Suite, OpenStack, Cisco ASA, Ubiquiti UniFi, CrashPlan
  • Working knowledge of Linux.
  • Scripting experience (shell, python, perl, etc.)
