Overview:
 
The Managing Clinical Director is responsible for the overall planning, directing, organizing, staffing, monitoring and reporting on,  all patient care activities operating within the philosophy, mission and budget capabilities of the program.  The Managing Clinical Director has oversight to ensure high quality delivery of patient services and compliance within the Conditions of Participation for the Medicare Hospice Benefit and State Hospice benefit as directed by our organizational mission, policy and procedure.  Assures the appropriate delegation, training, coordination and monitoring for the daily supervision of the DCS and oversight of all compliance and documentation requirements inclusive of employee appraisals, admission documentation and budget preparation/reporting. Assures that the highest standards of hospice care are always met and that all vendor/physician interactions are always timely, accurate, complete and positive. Work closely with the ED to plan, manage and monitor all hospice expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the program's budget. Travel as necessary.

Qualifications:
 

    Registered Nurse currently licensed in state(s) of employment. Bachelor's of Science degree in nursing preferred and a current, valid driver's license and readily available, dependable, all-weather, vehicular transportation.
    Minimum of five (5) years recent/current clinical experience, preferably in oncology, home health, critical care, or hospice care (preferred).
    Document-able history of effective management responsibility of professional and clinical health care staff, verbal/written communications, problem solving, budget management, and a working knowledge of current federal EEOC regulations, HR, benefits and risk management, as they pertain to the management of a licensed, health services organization, with a full-time staff of 50+ FTEs.
    Ability to effectively implement, modify, monitor and report on, program compliance with all federal, state and company hospice regulations and patient care related policies and procedures, as provided by and monitored through corporate Patient Services Department personnel.
    Openly support the organizations care mission/philosophy and all related operational and managerial policies and procedures as provided by the company.
    Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    Regularly interact/problem-solve with senior and subordinate Colleagues, as well as external care providers and other professionals in a clear, positive and professional manner, as is necessary to successfully fulfill the performance requirements of this executive level position.
