Job Description
Finance Manager
Please note the following requirements of this role:
Candidates must have recent manufacturing experience
Candidates must have recent SAP experience
Candidates must be local as no relocation assistance is being offered for this role.
Candidates must be available to travel 25% to 30%
Summary:This position supports manufacturing operations and requires a highly developed analytical skill set, the ability to analyze and reconcile data, and work with appropriate supervision in completing the required finance and accounting functions. The Finance Manager also needs to possess a great deal of insight; to be able to connect facts, and occurrences that seem to have no connection, but may have significant meaning in identifying, analyzing, and assisting in reducing Factory / Operational variances.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for understanding all manufacturing costs, managing bill of materials, reviewing all cost variances
Work with Plant Management in analyzing cost variances and potential areas of opportunity
Review plant performance on monthly basis with management and provide financial analysis of variances
Assist with monthly financial close activities and other reporting/ad hoc analyses
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
Assist with plant capital projects as needed
Work with plant on plant related inventory, accounting and SAP processes
Cross-train with other plant finance functions in the management of the bill of material process
Assist and partner with business leaders on implementation of cost improvements
Qualifications:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field, MBA or CPA preferred
5-7 years of finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Hyperion, and SAP preferred
Ability to work independently
Skills/Competencies:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to interact with all levels of management
Analytical and Problem solving skills
Self-starter with an inquisitive nature
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new concepts
Technical aptitude regarding operating systems and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Ability to address and resolve problems and issues as they occur
Travel requirements approx 25%-30%
