Job Description

DIMENSIONS
• Global CBL Factories / DC’s: 10 (US, CAN, UK, RO & KSA)
• Global Source & Sell Partners: 7 (US, CAN, Korea, Malaysia, Middle East)
• Materials Spend: approx. $100 million across variety of product families.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
• Strategic and Tactical activities related to production procurement of Raw Material, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, e-Auctions, eProcurement.
 
• Strategic Commodity management to include ferrous and non-ferrous metals procurement. Analyze traditional and non-traditional supplier capabilities and supply base trends to select the optimum supply and value chain strategies that will leverage existing business.
 
• Anticipate needs in the development of business and source plans, product and service requirements. Develop procurement source plan, which meets the needs of B-Line while developing and implementing purchasing best practices. Ensure that all operational issues and requirements, along with short and long term product and brand strategies, are incorporated into purchasing strategies. Work with Product Managers to develop new products and sources of supply, including raw materials or finished product.
 
• Participate on New Product Development Teams to evaluate make-buy decisions and identifying the best source, in-house or out-source; including total cost evaluation of internal manufacturing versus supplier costs.
 
• Maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, ensure successful implementation and support of established strategies with them.
 
• Actively solicit and obtain business support on sourcing teams to ensure strategies are linked to, and supported by the business. Pursue and collate forecast requirements and stock movements of strategic materials.
 
• AlignB-LineSourcing with commodity teams with clearly defined, well-communicated and measurable contracts, working with the appropriate individuals to establish a solid implementation plan.
 


Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing
• Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with outsourcing and contracts
• SAP experience • Advanced Degree in Procurement Management or MBA
 
Position Criteria:
• Understanding of inventory management and MRP systems
• Knowledge of cost drivers in procurement and supply processes
• Comprehensive knowledge sourcing and supplier relationship management practices
• Strong communication and negotiating skills
• Strong analytical and data management skills
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
