Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a EDI Developer, planning, implementing and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This includes proprietary and standard HIPAA formats. Including client communication, documentation of file transmission requirements, and development of test files, conducting testing, and production implementation of interfaces. Provides oversight to information systems linkages with claims processing systems, and assists Director of Corporate Reporting in supervision of the EDI functions. Programs and tests Biz Talk solutions (maps, orchestrations, ports, and other relevant solution components).
Essential Functions:

•Oversees all EDI; to include both inbound and outbound transmissions. Proprietary and HIPAA standard transmissions.
•Develops IT operating policies and procedures related to EDI processes, including all procedures related EDI processing information systems function.s supporting environments. Monitors for necessary upgrades. Plans, tests, deploys upgrades.
•Consults with managers and information system analysts to clarify EDI requirements.
•Develops and Analyzes EDI, test scenarios, test runs, and production implementation.
•Ensures all contractual requirements for EDI are met

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

Experience:
•Minimum of 3 years EDI experience implementing Claims related proprietary and HIPAA compliant transactions, including experience with development and implementation of EDI standards required. Minimum of 3 years programming and 3 years Biz Talk administration and deployment experience.
•Strong knowledge of HIPAA EDI protocols.
•Strong knowledge of programming, deployment, and supervisor functions.
•Strong knowledge of defining EDI implementation roadmap.
•Strong understanding of software development and implementation methodology.
•Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design that includes implementation solutions for the healthcare industry.
Skills:
•Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and changing priorities with a great attention to detail.
•Ability to program solutions (maps, orchestrations, ports, and other relevant solution components), upgrade, and perform supervisor responsibilities with no supervision and ability to multitask and accomplish assigned tasks within project timelines.
•Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft project).
•Ability to plan, organize and execute multiple complex projects.
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
•Excellent human relations and verbal/written communication skills.
•Utilize strong product knowledge to analyze new product requirements and coordinate the activities of the development team.


 

Additional Information

Must have BizTalk experience and 837 series transactional Experience (HIPPA) etc.
