Our Client -This Lead Data Solution Architect is going to be a valuable part of the Data Architecture team. This role will cover all aspects of strategy definition inclusive of partnering with internal and external stakeholders. The perfect candidate should be able to understand the data management and application development landscape. The individual will be leading critical aspects of application development and data management. We are looking for talented individual with in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience in areas of Data Management, Application Architecture, Product Development, Middleware, Data Streaming, RDBMS and NoSQL database platforms. As a Lead Data Solutions Architect, you will work closely with multiple architecture and product development teams across enterprise.

 This is a hands-on position, requiring research, analysis and design of solutions appropriate to our business and technology strategies. The Architect will play a diverse and far-reaching role in the organization, providing leadership and influencing adoption of technical solutions, strategies and design patterns across multiple teams and stakeholders. Create and design innovative systems and solutions to complex problems using eBay and leading-edge open-source technologies Research, assess, and recommend technologies and products for their applicability to complex project requirements and contribute to the development of new product concepts. Communicate your expertise in software design concepts, products and technologies in relevant domain areas. Provide technical leadership across the company Drive technical vision and architecture designs to consensus across multiple teams and stakeholders Develop and document service interface, design and architecture specifications as well as patterns, standards, guidelines and technical best practices Compensation 

The client is looking for someone with 7 years experience in the US with either ecommerce, financial services (large banks, companies like Franklin Templeton, fidelity - companies that handle billions of transactions globally everyday) or internet search companies like Yahoo.  The role is to provide leadership to design, select appropriate architecture, databases for projects led by business units across eBay (in multiple countries).  This person is part of the data platform group that is in charge of  data architecture, modeling, stewardship.

Do not want Coders, DATA warehouse profiles, ETL or Terra data profiles.
Do not need an expert in hadoop.

Must have a broad knowledge in technology, strong architecture background, strong communications to work with developers and sr. business managers in helping select right platforms and sharing values of such seections.

Tech Stack - MUST - Oracle, nosql, MySQL, Cassandra/couch base, MongoDB, etc.

Candidate must have Fin background - in the following sectors, data gov, security, metadata expertise in addition to architecture background.
