The primary responsibility of the Content Specialist is to create marketing-focused, search-optimized web copy for law firms, working within carefully tailored product specifications while meeting project deadlines.
Create unique text for legal websites, including general content about legal areas of practice as well as branded content about specific law firms.
Maintain a working knowledge of general marketing strategies, search engine marketing principles, and areas of legal practice.
Develop and maintain an understanding of business systems, including software used to ensure efficient delivery and tracking of incoming and completed content drafts.
Understand and adhere to content best practices and product specifications.
Review and provide feedback on other writers’ content in light of quality expectations, content best practices and product specifications.
Copy edit other writers’ content to ensure avoidance of spelling, grammatical, punctuation and stylistic errors.
Bachelor’s degree required (English/Communications/Journalism degree preferred), Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
Relevant writing samples (at least 500 words) are required for consideration. If work examples are not available, original writing samples may be included.
1-2 years of professional writing experience in marketing, communications, or similar field
Internet copywriting experience preferred
Copy editing experience preferred
