Capitaine Train was founded by 3 engineers obsessed with simplicity. Our organisational structure is very simple and linear: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them. We are a young and small start-up (40 people) and we are growing very quickly. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the growth of our company.

You are a versatile and product-oriented developer. You move fast and quickly understand our customers’ issues. You are highly autonomous and very creative. You are obsessed for pixel-perfect user interfaces.

Role

Our website is a full-JavaScript application, client of a JSON API. You will work on both the API (RoR) and the UI (Ember.js). Engineers at Capitaine Train work on what they want to: we have tons of projects to improve the life of our customers. Just pick one and begin the awesome work.

With great power comes great responsibility: your work must be carefully tested. We iterate quickly and deploy our distributed components many times a day. You are encouraged to measure the results of your work to validate the results of your expectations and base your analysis on real data.

Qualifications

    Perfect spelling and grammar (in your mother tongue),
    Decent written and spoken English,
    Self-organized with ability to prioritize tasks effectively,
    Experience with software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, continuous integration, design documentation…),
    Extensive use of JavaScript,
    Experience with Ruby on Rails and server-side issues.

Pluses

Experience with full-JS app development,
Familiarity with API design.
