Job Description

CarGurus is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our Field Sales team. This person will be responsible for seeking out new business opportunities, interfacing with decision-makers via in-person meetings and phone, and communicating the CarGurus value proposition in a consultative manner. The candidate must be dynamically profressional, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members in a remote environment.

Our Regional Sales Director will seek to build and expand relationships with Dealer Sales Managers, Internet Marketing Managers, and automotive dealerships/dealership groups. The Director's primary responsibility will be to represent CarGurus in a designated geographic territory and expand CarGuru’s customer base within that territory’s automotive retailers, review on-line business practices, and consult with dealership management and Internet department staff. 

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and aggressively grow direct relationships in a designated geography through prospecting, cold calls and relationship development

• Create and manage relationships with area automotive retailers by demonstrating value as an on-line marketing strategy consultant

• Ensure customer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to dealer concerns and needs and following thru on prompt resolution

• Provide in-depth analyses and reports regarding field activities and dealership progress

• Provide written and verbal feedback to the product and operational teams on new product ideas and/or suggested modifications to existing products

• Manage and monitor all contracts as well as account receivables

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of direct business-to-business sales experience

• Automotive dealership experience required, SaaS sales experience preferred

• Existing dealership relationships in target market preferred

• Willingness and ability to travel on a frequent basis within a defined territory

• Ability to work independently from a remote/home office

• Consultative, value-based solution sales experience required

• Motivated self-starter with the desire to succeed in a fast-paced rapidly growing company

• Must be intelligent, driven individual with a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, and common sense.

• Highest ethical standards

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate clearly and efficiently

• Strong cultural fit. Competitive and winning while having fun and being collaborative

• Sales Forecasting skills and performance expectation management a must

• Proficient in Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
