Beacon Victim Care Service

Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner has appointed Catch22 to deliver the Beacon Victim Care Service across the county. Catch22 Victim Services provide tailored support to individuals, to empower them to cope, and to recover, from the impact of crime.

Job Description

As the administrator at Beacon Victim Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that victims and witnesses of crime receive the support and guidance they need. Your dedication will help Catch22 maintain its commitment to delivering compassionate and effective services that empower individuals and make a meaningful difference in their lives. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service such as:

  • Monitoring and managing the service inbox to ensure service users are contacted with promptly, including those that contact the service via mail.
  • Monitoring and answering the helpline to support victims of crime.
  • Facilitate meetings such as organizing times, arranging meeting rooms, and writing meeting minutes
  • Sending out or completing surveys to service users to capture journey experiences and feedback.
  • General management of service petty cash, invoice processing, point-of sale.
  • Arrange for teams transport using our internal travel systems.
  • Ensuring core office supplies are in stock and ordering resources if required.
  • Inputting referrals to the case management system and supporting with case allocations.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with administrator experience or individuals with adaptable skills and experience to this role. This can be evidenced in your application and at interview if selected. 

You will be a proactive and organised individual with a strong attention to detail and a passion for supporting others. Your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and communicate effectively will ensure the smooth running of our victim service. As a key team member, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and help foster an environment that prioritises inclusivity and excellence in service delivery. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team committed to supporting victims of crime. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our service not only meets its targets but also continues to evolve in response to the needs of the community. Through your work, you will help create a supportive environment where every team member and service user feels valued and empowered.

Additional Requirements: Successful post-holders will need to have a full UK Driving License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes. The NPPV (non-police personnel vetting) check also requires that the post-holder has lived in the UK for the past 3 years with a few exceptions. 

Contract: Permanent

Hours & work pattern: Part time, 18.75 hours per week (0.5 PT). 

Salary: £25,000 (FTE); £12,500 pro rata 

Location: A blended approach of office working and home working.
