Job Description

Cenero, a rapidly growing technology firm, is searching for a Project Management and Support Engineer for our Charlotte, NC office. Providing technical support, he/she would be responsible for diagnosiing and reparing various types of audiovisual, video conferencing and IT related systems. He/She will also be responsible for developing and accomplishing project requirements and objectives while managing project risk and constraints. Acting as a liason between project stakeholders, this client facing position has primary responsiblity for all project communications and quality control while coordinating all project deliverables. Thinking and working independently withing the specified guidelines, the Project Management and Support Engineer will effectively interact with employees, customers and colleagues, demonstrating the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects.  


Job Responsiblities:

  • Provide technical support of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems, such as:

  • Diagnosing audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT related system problem
  • Repairing audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT related systems when possible including re-terminating various cable
  • Configuring and programming equipment for a various application
  • Interfacing with manufacturers to identify and resolve issues
  • Making recommendations as to whether it is better to repair or replace a defective product
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to clients as well as Cenero personnel
  • Provide professional customer service including rapidly building technical credibility with clients via superior knowledge and service
  • Professionally represent Cenero with Senior-level clients showing empathy, patience, and competence
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to peers, clients, and management 
  • Work within Cenero's Project Management Operations framework to coordinate all aspects of assigned project deliverables
  • Develop project plans, schedules and milestones 
  • Coordinate and schedule all project resources, both internal and external
  • Maintain and manage project financial plan and budget 
  • Provide project leadership by assuming ownership of project success
  • Ensure that all project resouces have complete and accurate information required to fulfill their project role
  • Provide effective communication to all stakeholders
  • Other responsibilities as necessary or assigned  

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with video conferencing solutions from Cisco, Lifesize, Polycom, Radvision, and Vidyo products, as well as Audio Visual solutions from AMX, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne, SMART, and others is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of various types of audiovisual and related systems including switchers, projectors, DVD / Blu-ray players, displays, microphones, speakers, etc.
  • Audioisual installation and venue/event management experience is prefer
  • Applicable manufacturer trainings and certifications are preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • General knowledge of the following:
  • ISDN T1/E1, Ethernet and H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols 
  • TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls
  • Computers (Windows based) and office software
  • Ability to prioritize and posess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
