Job Description

Cenero is looking for a Technical Service Engineer (TSE) to perform as part of Cenero's service team to deliver remote support of Audio Visual, Video Conferencing, and IT solutions. He/She would be responsible for taking customer requests via phone, email and video to provide prompt resolution to reported issues. Thinking and working independently within the specified guildelines, the TSE will be able to effectively interact with employees, customers and collegues, demonstrating the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects.  

Job Responsiblities Include:

  • Answer customer requests and document activity in Cenero database
  • Respond to any notifications in a timely and proficient manner
  • Provide initial diagnosis of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT related system problems
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to peers and management
  • Produce accurate and timely service quotes using Cenero’s tools and formulas
  • Effectively communicate and document activities 
  • Keep digital records up to date (i.e. service tickets, documentation)
  • Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team centric environment
  • Other responsibilities as necessary or assigned       

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience launching conferences and troubleshooting endpoints using Polycom products, such as RMX, DMA, CMA, HDX and RPRM
  • Knowledge of various types of audiovisual and related systems including switchers, projectors, DVD / Blu-ray players, displays, microphones, speakers, etc.
  • Audiovisual installation and venue/event management experience is preferred
  • General knowledge of the following:
                        *ISDN T1/E1, Ethernet and H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols 
                        *TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls
                        *Computers (Windows based) and office software
  • Familiarity with video conferencing solutions from Cisco, Lifesize, Polycom, Radvision, and Vidyo products, as well as Audio Visual solutions from AMX, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne, SMART, and others is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and posess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
