JOB TITLE: ADR Fuel Tanker Driver

Salary: £23,200 + Overtime available (5 month contract possibly leading to perm)

Fairford, Horsham, Newbury, Westcott, Wymondham, Ashill Avonmouth,  Northampton, Killingholme

Our client is a leading bulk fuels company operating all over the UK in the supply of heating fuels and diesel. The job holder is an integral and essential part of the organisation, providing the front line, one to one contact with our customers. As such ambassadors they hold a great deal of responsibility for the standards they maintain in all of the stated activity areas – their success in these areas is directly linked to the profitability, success and well being of the company and all their colleagues

Purpose of role:

To supply bulk fuel to customers within legal and company guidelines.

Driving Duties

• The job holder is responsible for driving the company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and in accordance with all current legislation and company guidelines.
• The job holder should be aware that they need to act as an ambassador for the company at all times.
• Responsibility should be taken to inform Line Management of any changes to Driving License and ADR.
• The job holder is responsible for ensuring that to the best of their ability the vehicle is in a safe condition and that daily vehicle checks are completed.
• Report back any accidents & incidents to line Management,
• Use good judgement when dealing with difficult delivery conditions and always report back to line Management details on unsafe sites as quickly as possible.

Education & Training

• Essential: Full Driving License, LGV 2
• Desired: ADR Class 3, Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent level passes

Experience

• Essential: 18mths LGV2 Driving Experience
• Desired: 18mths plus experience with ADR, oil industry experience. Multi pot and drop experience

Behavioural Skills-Customer focused, conscientious and flexible. Enthusiastic and willing to contribute to team effort. Good communication skills and ability to work unaided.
