Job Description

The Lead Inside Relationship Manager is responsible for sales and revenue growth in an assigned territory. Primary function of the role is to prospect for new logos across a variety of industry verticals. The Lead Inside Relationship Manager is expected to use consultative selling skills along with a strong understanding of the data center and technology industries to originate opportunities and achieve quota attainment in the data center/colocation business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting for data center/colocation opportunities within given territory – specific focus on new logos.
  • Management of sales opportunities, providing accurate and updated sales funnel with current status
  • Achievement of data center/colocation sales quota
  • Identification, development and maintenance of healthy funnel of data center/colocation opportunities
  • Development of territory plan, including prospecting efforts and close plans for strategic deals
  • Meeting with prospects, partners and other CenturyLink colleagues, participation in joint sales calls to customers to shorten the sales cycle and improve the win ratio
  • Coordination of prospect access to Sales Engineering, Field Marketing and overlay resources as appropriate
  • Maintaining an up-to-date sales funnel in Salesforce
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge on all products, programs and promotions


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of successful sales experience (Business to Business | B2B)
  • Solid interviewing/selling/persuasion skills in a non-scripted environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Active listening skills to identify sales opportunities
  • Energetic, coachable and competitive

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • SFDC / CRM experience as a user
