The Chicago Architecture Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public interest and education in architecture and design. The Chicago Architecture Foundation presents a comprehensive program of tours, exhibitions, lectures, special events, and adult and youth education activities, all designed to enhance the public’s awareness and appreciation of Chicago’s outstanding architectural legacy.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation seeks a Development Intern to assist with data management, donor communications, and stewardship and cultivation. This is an unpaid internship. Reporting to the President’s Office, the intern will support staff working with corporate giving and membership, Raiser’s Edge fundraising software, and the execution of development and member-focused marketing campaigns. The intern will be assigned to a mixture of special projects and some core job functions.
Job Description
Projects and duties may include, but are not limited to:
Data management with The Raiser’s Edge, a leading constituent relationship management system in the fundraising industry
Stewardship with donors, including drafting and processing acknowledgment correspondences
New member-donor acquisition practices
Contributions to the planning and execution of a new member acquisition campaign
Special event registration sales
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to learn and use new database systems and applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Strong interest in development, nonprofits, and the arts
Students undertaking the internship in order to earn college credit preferred
Additional Information
Intern will work 20 hours per week. There is someflexibility with exact start and end dates.
