Closed Loop is looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our team. This person will have hands-on expertise in APIs, custom coding in JavaScript (in addition to using library scripts and frameworks), AJAX, web analytics, tracking, and XHTML/CSS slicing/production.

This position requires strong technical and communication skills, an appreciation for the role of user experience in driving business results, and the ability to think strategically. It’s not a job for your average web developer.

This is a full-time position at our Roseville, CA office (no part-time, contract, or telecommuting).

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with our Product and UX teams to translate ideas into working designs and commercial products
•  Produce/slice design files to HTML/CSS/JavaScript library/AJAX
• Create iterative, functional prototypes and products based on visual designs
• Developing custom tracking and analytics solutions with JavaScript
•  Leverage a variety of APIs to develop custom prototypes and reporting solutions
  

You'll have expertise in these areas:

• Building responsive web applications using a framework such as Angular, Ember or Aurelia
• Custom (hand-coded) JavaScript development, including AJAX
• Working with APIs (e.g. REST API) and web-based authentication (Google, Facebook, etc.)
• Cross-platform, cross-browser web development that delivers great performance to users
  Expertise in any of these areas would sweeten the deal:
  
• CSS pre-processors (e.g. SASS, LESS)
• JavaScript variants (e.g. Typescript, AtScript)
  
• Mobile development experience
• Training in visual design, human factors, usability, interaction design, or user-centered design methods
• Web analytics (Google Analytics and Site Catalyst, in particular)
• Solving complex tracking and test implementation challenges with custom scripting
• Setting up and carrying out A/B and multivariate tests on websites (typically using a test platform such as LiveBall, Optimizely, Visual Website Optimizer, or SiteSpect)
