Job Description

Testing is the domain that is concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process. Testing is carried out in each phase: the requirements are tested by an acceptance test, the system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test, and the programs by a program and module test.

This role will combine both testing and architecture requirements that will challenge such a hands-on technical person like yourself. You already possess the battle scars and technical wisdom gained from delivering multiple technology projects. You must possess strong business acumen, well-developed analytical, critical thinking and technical writing skills and be an excellent facilitator and communicator with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of constituents. You will be asked to design and execute tests for an application/system based on the Software Architecture (models and principles). You will be asked to perform many of the roles required for a software test project; e.g. defect management, test analysis and supporting acceptance tests. Typically these roles are performed as part of a team of software testers containing the experience and skills required to deliver successfully. You will have have a solid background in IT; have received training in testing; and have participated in at least one large scale project that includes system integration testing or user acceptance testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with project team, client and business resources to define test scope & technology requirements for each cycle within a multi sprint environment 
  • Interpret and analyze business and system stories / business needs and translate them into technical specifications and plans
  • Elicit TEST requirements using interviews, document analysis, SCRUM requirements standup meetings, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Identify and proactively resolve technical quality and testing issues in the project 
  • Demonstrated experience with testing tools e.g.) Zephyr, ALM/HPQC, QTP, Performance Centre 
  • Ability to define, write, execute and review tests scripts using QA tools
  • Experience in software test planning, test design, test scripts and documentation 
  • Experience working with offshore team 
  • Experience Working in an Agile environment


Qualifications

MUST have superior English written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to create and articulate the "big picture"

A minimum of 5 years in the field of quality assurance

A minimum of 3 years at a Sr. Technical Level/Architecture or related technical hands-on project management

P&C Insurance experience

Demonstrated Progression of Technical skills

Demonstrated Architecture Knowledge

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
