Mobile retail operations extend along the Eastern seaboard. At one location there is an extensive standup paddleboard and bicycle sales and rental operation. The Bald Head Island location is a flagship store filled with a unique and premium selection of apparel, paddleboards and beach cruisers.

Job Description

THE JOB:

The role of SALES SPECIALIST contributes to the success of Coastal Urge by maintaining a working knowledge of our products and services, and using this knowledge to sell products to our customers. The position helps to maintain the store visual standards and assists in keeping the floor stocked with merchandise. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provides exemplary customer service to guests at all times

  • Sells Coastal Urge products and services.

  • Work with Point of Sale system to look up items, print tags, make transfers, conduct sales transactions, handle cash and credit card payments; bagging purchases and giving receipts, as well as close the register.

  • Stay aware of any promotional offers and make customers aware of discounts on the products promoted by the store.

  • Continually expands knowledge of products and services

  • Helps to maintain visual standards and cleanliness within store and storage areas

  • Stocks product from back room to sales floor and arrange for transfers from store to store

  • Communicates and cooperates with other staff and management team

  • Open and close the store to specifications, completing associated tasks and maintaining completion records.

  • Provide feedback to buyers and management on product requests and stock balancing needs.

  • Reduce theft and inventory shrinkage by following all store procedures, staying visible on sales floor and offering assistance and attentiveness to all customers.

Qualifications

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years previous retail sales and customer service experience required

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills

  • Positive, energetic personality

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

  • Available to work weekends and all holidays

  • Non issue taking a high speed ferry to work every day and then a ten minute commute in an open air golf cart in all types of weather
