Working for one of the largest employers in Northampton you will be working in a team responsible for providing price estimates for domestic building and construction projects. The team have invested a large amount of money on new IT systems to redevelop their estimating service and are looking for new individuals to join the team. Working from building plans and architectural designs you’ll have responsibility for estimating and pricing up jobs (materials, labour, etc) on behalf of clients.

This is a large organisation with lots of opportunity for progression due to their size.

• Interpreting and evaluating building plans and designs from potential clients and drafting pricing documents in line with these
• Using the quotation system to log estimates for clients
• When possible, offer and quote products from the preferred supply chain
• Assisting the management team with product and pricing reviews when required
• Understanding design; taking in to account mathematical calculations to resolve problems and issues 

• Ideally a degree or college course in Architectural Technology, Construction, Construction Management, Building etc. Failing this, a background and understanding of construction. You’ll be able to interpret building plans
• Solid Excel skills/experience
• Good maths skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to relate to a broad spectrum of individuals
• High level of self motivation
• The ability to interpret architectural - engineering drawings

This company is looking for a number of people to join the team and will consider both full-time and part-time candidates. You may be finishing up your studies in Construction Management but are eager to start gaining experience before you finish, or you may already have experience in the construction industry.
