Colby Community College, located in the northwest corner of Kansas, was established in he spring of 1964.  The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to approximately 1,800 in 2013.  In addition to an 80-acre main campus, the college has a 64-acre farm located just a few minutes east of Colby.

In addition to on-campus classes, CCC accommodates hundreds of off-campus students by offering classes at 24 locations in the 14-county service area and through online and hybrid courses.

     The Board of Trustees of Colby Community College located in Colby, KS, invites
applications and nominations for the position of President.  The President is the chief executive of the college and reports to a six-member locally-elected board.
    Colby Community College, a fully-accredited comprehensive two-year institution, is located on an 80-acre campus with a 64-acre farm.  It serves 14 counties in northwest Kansas.  The college, which has a $15 million annual budget, offers over 60 programs of study to approximately 1,900 full- and part-time students.
    Qualifications include an earned Doctorate (preferred), administrative experience with significant evidence of progressive levels of management including senior-level leadership required.  Candidates must exhibit highly developed problem-solving skills, fiscal management skills,
analytical ability and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Creativity, relationship building ability, community involvement and fund-raising skills are essential.
