Colby Community College, located in the northwest corner of Kansas, was established in he spring of 1964.  The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to approximately 1,800 in 2013.  In addition to an 80-acre main campus, the college has a 64-acre farm located just a few minutes east of Colby.

 

In addition to on-campus classes, CCC accommodates hundreds of off-campus students by offering classes at 24 locations in the 14-county service area and through online and hybrid courses.

Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Nursing and Allied Health. Master’s degree in nursing, current Kansas RN license or equivalent, and CPR certification required. The successful candidate will supervise nursing instructors, develop and supervise departmental budgets, ascertain compliance with all accrediting agency regulations and develop and administer policies, procedures and practices for the CCC nursing programs in Colby, Norton and surrounding areas. Previous experience in supervising nurses and teaching is preferred. Understanding of the importance of technology, integrity, open communication, innovative thinking, and ability to work as a team to increase enrollment in a rural setting is necessary.
