Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for an Educational Program Specialist. This is a full-time, 9-month position. The primary purpose is to support the academic success, retention, and graduation of students in the Student Support Services program by implementing goals and objectives of the TRIO/SSS grant. Specific responsibilities include academic advising, counseling, referral, and coordination of the SSS tutor program.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Experience working with disadvantaged students, ability to work with a diverse population, computer proficiency, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the required duties will be considered. Must understand the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, a sense of humor, and teamwork to increase enrollment in a rural setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
