Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders.  The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to around 1,800 in 2013.

Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology Specialist. Responsible for maintaining daily support for end-user IT operations and repair of end-user devices, classroom audio visual equipment, distance learning platforms and Internet access. Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware. Assists the Director in providing on-going staff and faculty development of technical skills. Must communicate and cooperate with college personnel on daily activities while maintaining strict confidentiality. Ability to work with diverse student population required. Must understand the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, a sense of humor, and teamwork to increase enrollment in a rural setting. Qualifications

Degree or certificate in computer information systems, computer science or closely related field and significant experience preferred.
