In addition to a 57-acre main campus, CCC has a 60-acre farm used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The college also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.

Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant for Student Support Services.  This 12-month position provides reception and clerical support to the SSS project staff.  A minimum of two years in general office work is desired.  The ideal candidate is positive and professional in a team working environment; employs strong oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills; maintains confidentiality; communicates effectively with students, faculty, and staff of all backgrounds; has experience with Word, Excel, and databases.

The position is grant-funded through the Department of Education.

  • Ability to update and maintain a wide variety of files and records.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, problem-solve, and adapt to various conditions.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity towards the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students.

TRAVEL
Minimal travel is expected for this position.

HOURS/SCHEDULE
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

COMPENSATION
$11.50-$12.50/ hr

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree or office professional certificate.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Administrative assistant experience or equivalent
  • Experience in an academic setting
