Job Description

Our high end retirement community in Victoria requires Dining Room Servers.

Servers are responsible for providing a superior dining experience to residents in our restaurant-style dining room. They will serve home style meals and beverages to residents, bus and re-set tables for the following meal service, and spot clean the dining area, as well as any other assigned duties.

Shifts include breakfast, lunch or dinner service. Functions held in the elegant private dining room and events in conjunction with the recreation department will also require food service staff.

Candidates are expected to communicate effectively with residents, supervisors and co-workers using appropriate etiquette and language, and work in cooperation and harmony with all fellow associates, supervisors and other departments to execute duties and responsibilities with due diligence

The dining room is open from 7 AM-7 PM and we are looking for staff that exhibit flexibility and willingness for all shifts. Morning, evening and weekend shifts are a MUST.

  • Enthusiastic and team oriented
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Exemplary grooming standards
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Background check and TB test

Qualifications

  • Current FoodSafe (level 1)
  • Current ‘Serve it Right’ is an asset
