IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

Global, law, firm is seeking an IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to be located in its New York, NY, Reston, VA or Washington, DC offices. The IT PMO Manager is the central point of all project management activities for Information Technology. This position is responsible for providing leadership, coordination and management of PMO activities; creating and maintaining a uniform approach to project management and serving as a change agent for continuous improvement of the PMO methodologies and application to inter- and intra-department projects; providing support to project managers through education and mentoring and developing a project management culture that is sustainable and provides ongoing benefits to the department and Firm. 

Qualifications

Candidates must have 7 - 10 years in a corporate IT environment, preferable in a law firm or professional services environment; 5 - 10 years of experience in PMO or program/project management on projects up to $10M; and 5 - 10 years on projects which are geographically dispersed. Also required is experience in end-to-end financial management function, portfolio and program/project levels and familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3. Candidates must also have a relevant program/project management qualification preferred (PMP). A Bachelor’s degree and Microsoft SharePoint and Project Server experience is preferred.
