Firmwide IT Training Manager

Large, global, law, firm is seeking a Firmwide IT Training Manager to be located in its Reston, VA, Broomfield, CO, New York, NY or San Diego, CA offices. The Firmwide IT Training Manager is responsible for the successful design, development and facilitation of learning solutions to ensure the effective use of technology. The manager will continue the development, implementation and evaluation of established curricula and training plans, building a standardized, firm-wide training program. This role will help assess development needs and implement effective programs to educate and enhance performance matching the needs of attorneys and staff with the appropriate level of training and the most effective methods for learning. The manager will deploy a range of teaching tools beyond traditional classroom training and will work with firm administration and the practice groups to develop Learning Plans for individuals and groups. The manager will also coordinate internal and out-sourced training resources and oversee training contracts; develop, manage and monitor training budgets; work directly with IT Managers to ensure standard system usage across all offices and to ensure training initiatives are adequate and appropriate; and meet regularly with administrative and practice group representatives to ensure the Training Department meets the needs of the Firm.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 5+ years’ IT experience in a professional services firm, preferably in a law firm, and experience managing teams. Candidates must also possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft products (including Windows 7/Office 2010 and beyond) and other products (including PCs, notebooks, printers, scanners and mobile devices). Strong knowledge in the training and support of all Firm CORE applications, as well as knowledge of new technology and developments is desirable. Ideal candidates will have a history of developing and supporting innovative training methods. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering is strongly preferred, as are technical certifications.
