Website Coordinator
Position Summary
Manage the development and building of websites, databases, and other systems to enhance the Firm’s business development efforts and improve the knowledge management tools utilized by the Business Development & Communications department.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions
- Update and maintain content on the Firm website and related digital properties, as well as the Firm’s intranet.
- Proof and post daily additions/revisions to web content, including biographies, news and press releases, publications, and office and practice area descriptions.
- Liaise with Website Supervisor, senior Business Development & Communications staff, attorneys and others, as needed, regarding web maintenance projects and content for the Firm website.
- Monitor the Firm website for navigational challenges and broken links; assist in maintaining the high quality and consistency expected from Firm leadership, attorneys and managers.
- Assist the Website Supervisor and broader Business Development & Communications team with special projects as needed.
- Additional responsibilities may be added or adjusted as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge and experience with web standards and technology in general.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, XML, MS SharePoint, MS Access and Visio.
- Excellent time management and project planning skills.
- Self-motivated individual who can identify problems and troubleshoot appropriately.
- Ability to see projects through to completion.
- Excellent proofreading skills; editorial skills a plus.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with staff and attorneys.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of professional experience; Experience in a law firm or professional services organization a plus.
- IT certifications a plus.
