We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanic to join our team in Constant Halaveli, Maldives. As a Senior Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate at peak performance in our tropical climate.

• Do the major and minor repairs on a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment.
• Repair and overhauling of speed boat engine, jet ski and related Equipment
• Organize and maintain a clean service area and maintenance of building.
• Inspect, adjust, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in many types of maintenance equipment.
• Do machine and welding, hydraulic system, high pressure pumps and valves.
• Report all disciplinary grievances to the Mechanic team leader.
• Perform complex diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve vehicle issues
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours
• Mentor and guide junior mechanics, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Adapt repair and maintenance techniques to address unique challenges posed by the tropical climate
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining technical issues and repair recommendations
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques

• Vocational training or technical degree in Automotive Technology
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred
• Advanced knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance across various vehicle makes and models
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software
• Expertise in electrical systems and engine management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• In-depth understanding of automotive systems and technologies
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain an organised workspace
• Familiarity with the effects of tropical climate on vehicles and appropriate maintenance techniques
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Valid driving licence
