Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team in Constance Moofushi, Maldives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organisation maintains the highest standards of environmental stewardship, workplace health, and safety compliance.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programmes to ensure compliance with local and international regulations
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures
  • Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programmes for employees at all levels
  • Monitor and analyse EHS performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for management
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of operations
  • Stay abreast of changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices, updating internal policies accordingly
  • Manage and maintain EHS documentation, including permits, licenses, and compliance records
  • Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies on EHS matters
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in a similar industry
  • Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, including local Maldivian and international standards
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
  • Excellent knowledge of EHS management systems and best practices
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes
