Job Description
Constance Prince Maurice, a luxurious 5-star resort in Mauritius, is seeking an experienced and professional Head Waiter to join our esteemed food and beverage team. As Head Waiter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our discerning guests while leading and inspiring our service staff.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of restaurant service, maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of waiters and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage guest relations, addressing queries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, placing orders as necessary.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting • Proven track record in a supervisory role within food service • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management • Strong leadership and team management abilities • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail expertise
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems • Fluency in English; additional languages are highly advantageous • Up-to-date food safety and hygiene certifications • Thorough understanding of fine dining etiquette and protocols • Experience in the luxury hospitality industry is preferred • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
