Job Description

Constance Prince Maurice, a luxurious 5-star resort in Mauritius, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Front Office Manager to join our esteemed team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

  • Assist in managing front office operations, including reception, concierge, and guest services
  • Support and supervise front office staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes, resolving any guest concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate guest requests and maintain seamless communication.
  • Monitor and maintain guest satisfaction levels, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Assist in managing front office budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and local regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of front office strategies and initiatives.
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests with utmost care and attention to detail.
  • Assist in roster management and staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in team management.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and systems (Opera).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are highly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of front office operations and procedures.
  • Understanding of hospitality industry standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with local tourism regulations and customs in Mauritius.
