Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Calculation
    • Independently calculate costs and performance metrics for funding projects
    • Analyze planned values and reconcile them with eligible costs and funding plans
    • Determine cost components such as hourly rates for claiming personnel cost
    • Extract and validate data from systems (e.g., SAP, Excel) and coordinate with relevant departments
  • Application & Compliance
    • Prepare and submit application documents for R&D funded projects
    • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and internal approval processes
    • Handle audits and prepare final reports
  • Project Tracking and Reporting
    • Regularly update calculations and analyze deviations
    • Properly document all funding-related project information
    • Prepare regular internal as well as external reporting while keeping track of all relevant deadlines
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Align with internal departments, Controlling colleagues, and funding authorities throughout all phases of the projects (i.e. from proposal to post completion audits)
    • Act as funding project administrator by coordinating all necessary funding related workstreams
  • Global R&D Funding
    • Build up transparency of all relevant R&D funding schemes (incl. tax incentives) used in the global R&D organization across locations
    • Support in standardizing documentation approaches (e.g. time tracking)
  • Non funding-related Controlling tasks
    • Support the global R&D Controlling team with location specific Controlling tasks

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Experience with the administration of public funded projects desired
  • Passion for analytical analysis and calculations
  • Strong curiosity and motivation to learn and work independently  
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Independent & self-organized working style
  • High quality focus and customer orientation
  • Motivated team-player, who loves to work in an international environment
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Portuguese languages skills  written and spoken are a plus
