Continental Carbonic is a dry ice manufacturing and distributing company that has doubled in size over the past six years to 40  locations and over 750 employees covering 24 states over the eastern half of the United States. 

Growing and dynamic dry ice manufacturer and delivery company in HARTFORD, CT is in need of a FULL-TIME Truck Driver with a Class B CDL (w/air brakes endorsement) to deliver dry ice.  

Additional responsibilities: 

- Safety for yourself and others

- Loading, and delivering dry ice to customers

- Obtaining receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collecting payment for services when required

- Securing cargo with supplied equipment to ensure load is safe from shifting 

- Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or any damage to the vehicles 

- Collecting empty boxes for return

- Reading bills of lading to determine assignment details 

- Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions 

- General maintenance duties    

- Other warehouse duties as assigned 

- CDL Class B license – fully current – current DOT long form physical and medical card 

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the type of truck that you’re going to hire into or 6 months experience with certification of accredited driving training 

- Ability to lifting up to 60 lbs. repetitively, bending, twisting, etc.

- Must be able to push/pull 600 lb. wheeled boxes

- Perform safe forklift operation and pallet jack operation

- Ability to pass a DOT drug screening and criminal background check 

- Possessing a good driving record
