Costume SuperCenter was started in 2006 by the original founder of Party City and this entrepreneur is always looking for ways to expand the brand. We operate several different retail websites and stores offering costumes, party supplies and other novelties.

Here at Costume SuperCenter, we operate multiple retail websites specializing in costumes, party supplies, lingerie and more.  As we expand, we are looking for a Web Developer who can grow with our company.  Our ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML and CSS3 as well as a drive and passion to update and develop new websites.  It is important that our Web Developer possesses the desire to continuously keep up with the constantly evolving technologies in order to push themselves, and our business forward.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain e-commerce websites ensuring stability and cross-platform compatibility while maintaining best-practices
• Deliver high quality code
• Configure Apache web servers
• Create test plan strategies, troubleshoot and provide QA

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of HTML, XML, Javascript, CSS and AJAX
• Solid understanding of Java, JSP Servlets, Web 2.0,
• Solid understanding of Apache web server, Tomcat servlet container, Red Hat Linux, Unix, MySQL, MS SQL Server and Hibernate
• Microsoft Windows XP, Office 2003 & 2007
• Experience in the ecommerce industry
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware failures
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Ability to work as a team
• 3-5 years experience

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience using / maintaining Subversion (SVN) version control system
• Any type of warehouse reporting
• Linux Administration
