Job Description

Cowley County Community Corrections is now accepting applications for the position of Substance Abuse Counselor. The Day Reporting Treatment Program is a KDADS certified, level one outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program, and is a KDOC SB-123 Certified provider. The S/A Counselor performs advanced (senior-level) substance abuse counseling. Work involves planning and providing substance abuse counseling programs and activities. The S/A Counselor works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of Substance Abuse Counseling experience and must meet the requirements set forth in the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board regulations under 102-7-3. Educational requirements. The successful applicant must be currently licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) as a Licensed Addiction Counselor. The successful applicant will have certification of training on both the ASI and the SASSI.

 

Salary range is $35,568.00 to $46, 384.00 annually, plus benefits.
