Job Description

Cricut is seeking an amazing DIY Crafter / Project Designer. The Project Design team you will join creates amazing digital DIY Craft projects that can be made with the Cricut machine. Users can make these exact “Make it Now” projects, or customize them, by clicking on the design within Design Space (see https://us.cricut.com/design) and following easy instructions. Since you and your team have done most of the heavy design lifting, consumers are transformed from DIY newbies to DIY stars. The designs are also the stars in our various online, editorial, retail channel and community marketing efforts. 

Basically, this job is a DIY crafter’s dream come true.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • DIY Craft Project Designer – Must have the internal need to create amazing DIY projects.
  • Ideation & Collaboration – Create original, trend setting DIY projects (as an individual & team)
  • Design – Basic design knowledge (e.g. color, focus, balance, perspective, shape, and emphasis.
  • Project Management – Managing workflow and deadlines on multiple projects at once.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of graphic applications, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience in interacting with third party vendors and meeting internal business needs.
  • Confident in presenting ideas and designs to internal and external clients, and routinely demonstrating good understanding of creative process through performance.
  • Preferably can use a wide range of materials, styles, and techniques.
