Job Description

Are you someone who loves working with people and helping others to succeed? Do you regularly handle multiple priorities at once and still manage to cheerfully help the person who comes to you with a problem just as you were headed out the door?

If so, we need you and you will want to be here with us.

The IT Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining all PCs, Macs, peripherals, printers, and phones for our entire 170 person organization. This includes selecting, purchasing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, patching, maintaining, and upgrading. In this role you will also troubleshoot problems and provide end user training and assistance as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

  • Has a few years of work in an onsite help desk (not a call center) as a part of a team, but is now ready to be the sole provider of these services to a dynamic and growing organization.
  • Knows how to image a computer and has also created the image for others to use.
  • Understands what is under the hood of a PC or MAC.
  • Smart enough not to spend hours fixing a problem that could be handled in minutes.
  • Can help users keep their systems running optimally but can quickly clean up the mess from malware when they don’t.
  • Can use Microsoft AD and group policies to not just add/remove users but to keep them running well and consistent.
