Job Description

Cricut is seeking an experienced and versatile Mobile QA Engineer to assist with testing iOS, Android App and hardware for product releases. You will be responsible for testing new products & applications in early development phases and communicating with internal development teams. You should be able to represent QA concerns in cross-functional team meetings and also provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience.

This position requires good understanding of the software development life-cycle, experience with a variety of testing techniques, strong written and organizational skills and networking experience. The QA Engineer will develop and execute an organized test plan to release high quality products to market on schedule.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with iOS, Android App, Platform, hardware and firmware development teams to test Cricut products and applications
  • Come to fully understand the use cases of all Cricut products and use cases to know how to test every nook and corner
  • Develop and refine test cases for new products/features to ensure adequate test coverage
  • Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports
  • Record all test results for and provide a high level summary of areas tested
  • Scrub defects reported from internal team and external partners, suggest the defect severity and urgency with good knowledge of user cases
  • Understand the testing intricacies of web and mobile products
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment and find the right balance between delivering quality products and aggressive release cycles
  • Be able to provide the utmost detail around each bug (detailed steps to reproduce, screenshots, accurate prioritization, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of experience writing and executing QA test plans for software or consumer electronics products
  • 2-3 years experience testing iOS or Android native applications as well as web applications.
  • Knowledge of consumer products and user interfaces
  • Thorough understanding of QA methodology and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes and work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance; detail-orientation is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
