Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join a rapidly growing startup that is democratizing individual consumer access to direct investment in institutional-quality commercial real estate opportunities through a transparent and frictionless online marketplace, CrowdStreet.com. This highly visible marketing position will play a critical role in the success and growth of CrowdStreet and will interface directly and frequently with the executive team and investor members. We’re not looking for just anyone, but a special individual with unique marketing superpowers that can hit the ground at a full sprint. We are seeking a self-starter with extensive experience in digital and social media marketing and a deep focus on consumer-oriented websites who can create and execute a cross-channel marketing plan. Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional marketing experience for a consumer internet and/or software products company including at least 3 years of digital marketing and web analytics.
  • Proficient in social media campaign execution for demand generation, lead nurturing and customer relationship development.
  • Technically minded self-starter capable of quickly mastering the use of new marketing tools, technologies and techniques.
  • Skilled in digital advertising and email marketing. Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Buffer, Pardot, AdRoll, etc.
  • Experience with content, design and ad creation tools including Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier highly valued.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills required.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s level degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Digital Media or other business related area.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to create a cross-channel marketing plan.
  • Lead the tactical execution of the marketing plan.
  • Develop corporate brand awareness and broad-market understanding of CrowdStreet products and services among real estate investors.
  • Develop and execute a social media campaign strategy, curate topics for posts, create posts, track outcomes and refine the methodology.
  • Engage the social community via rich, relevant and timely content that grows social followers and drives new investor member registration.
  • Analyze website traffic data using Google Analytics and other tracking tools. Use results to refine marketing strategies and redirect advertising spend to maximize ROI.
  • Develop email campaigns using Pardot marketing automation and Salesforce CRM.
  • Put your creative skills to work to develop digital ads, print ads, conference materials, sales toolkits, brochures and other marketing collateral.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and copy editing proficiency.
  • Conduct marketing programs within the allocated budget.

Secondary Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to evolve and refine corporate messaging, positioning and branding.
  • Assist the Operations Team launch and market new property postings.  
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of PR campaigns with a 3rd party PR firm.
  • Develop press releases, communicate announcements with media outlets and coordinate interviews with executives.
  • Collaborate with media outlets to develop contributed content articles.
  • Respond to media requests for information.
  • Create case studies, white papers and blog articles, often by working collaboratively with a technical writer.
  • Drive conference planning, preparation and event logistics.
  • Analyze market trends and remain knowledgeable of industry news.
