Job Description
The Vice President of Marketing is a key member of our executive leadership team and is coming onboard at a time when the company has been fortunate to grow dramatically over the past year with limited marketing focus. It is now time to grow our marketing investment and talent to further accelerate the momentum. This key position will play a critical role in the success and growth of CrowdStreet.
We’re not looking for just anyone, but a special individual with unique marketing superpowers that can hit the ground at a full sprint. We are seeking a self-starter with extensive experience in digital and social media marketing, a deep focus on both consumer-oriented websites and SaaS platforms who can create and execute a cross-channel marketing plan. ● Define and lead marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and interface with sales VP for lead tracking and management. Work closely with VP Sales to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs.
● Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst relations and market research management, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis.
● Develop and drive corporate brand awareness and broad-market understanding of CrowdStreet products and services among real estate investors.
● Develop and execute a social media campaign strategy, curate topics for posts, create posts, track outcomes and refine the methodology.
● Analyze website traffic data using Google Analytics and other tracking tools. Use results to refine marketing strategies and redirect advertising spend to maximize ROI.
● Develop email campaigns using Pardot marketing automation and Salesforce CRM.
● Plan and manage budget to ensure marketing dollars are spent on most value, highest ROI programs.
● Assist the Operations Team launch and market new property postings.
● Drive conference planning, preparation and event logistics.
● Analyze market trends and remain knowledgeable of industry news.
Qualifications
● 10+ years marketing experience in consumer Internet and/or software application and comparable industries with 4 years in a senior management position.
● Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels. Exceptional track record of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership through example.
● Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced marketing activities (PR, creative services, content development, etc.) to maximize results and substantial experience working with business and industry press.
● Willingness to roll up the sleeves and follow through with executing the marketing strategies alongside the rest of the team.
● Proficient in social media campaign execution for demand generation, lead nurturing and customer relationship development.
● Comfortable setting bold objectives, and being able to say “no” to ensure focus on achieving those goals.
● Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.
● Strength in recruiting and hiring people around you to create a world-class marketing team. Find people who complement your skills and be a mentor and guide to them.
● Skilled in digital advertising and email marketing. Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Buffer, Salesforce.com, Pardot, AdRoll, etc.
● Bachelor’s level degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Digital Media or other business related area. MBA a plus.
