Job Description

Reporting to the Co-Founder/Chief Executive Officer, this full-time position is responsible for administering and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Human Resources programs and policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity including benefits, compensation, recruitment, and training.  The ideal candidate will travel to Crye-Leike offices at a moment’s notice and at a required length of time.  This position will be based out of our corporate office, in Memphis, TN.  Crye-Leike offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommends, develops, implements, and coordinates policies and programs covering employment, benefits administration, wage and salary administration
  • Ensures company equal opportunity policies and practices comply with applicable local, state, and federal labor laws
  • Works with Crye-Leike management team to create an environment that strongly supports company real estate associates and encourages employees to grow and develop within our organization
  • Uses best practices and professional sources to establish, implement, and maintain Human Resources policies and Employee Handbook
  • Monitors established policies for unemployment insurance
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations (OSHA, EEO, Wage and Hour, ERISA)
  • Consults and coordinates with management on matters relating to employment, harassment, discipline, grievances, and terminations
  • Protects interest of employees and company in accordance with policies and government laws and regulations ensuring consistent, equal and fair treatment
  • Identifies, evaluates, and resolves employee morale, work performance, and productivity concerns
  • Supervises Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Assistant's

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business required
  • Minimum 5 years previous Human Resources Generalist administration experience including 2-3 years in a management role
  • SPHR certification required
  • CEBS certification a plus
  • Experience with compensation management programs, benchmarking and salary structure development
  • Knowledge/experience in hiring practices/procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in developing, implementing and communicating Human Resource programs and policies
  • Outstanding human relation skills
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and professional commitment to our organization
  • Experience negotiating and administering benefits programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Strong skills in executive coaching and leadership development are highly desired
  • Ability to travel as required for position
