Dailymotion is seeking an apprentice to join the Database team. Our team is responsible for the databases at Dailymotion (principally MySQL). Your work will help ensure the platform performs well, remains secure and is up to date. 

In the team, you will be responsible for verifying the day-to-day operations, such as backup procedures and general maintenance.  

With guidance from the team, you will learn: 

• how to install and maintain database instances 

• how to make changes safely on the platform 

• how to identify and solve issues in production (performance, failed backups, replication issues)

We are looking for someone who is finishing a degree or diploma in computing and seeking experience as a DBA. 

You should have knowledge of: 

• SQL Language 

• Linux (as a user) 

• A scripting language (bash, python, …) 

Bonus knowledge: 

• A relational database engine (MySQL, PostgreSQL, …) 

• Git 

A good mastery of English is an advantage, as we work with teams in Asia and the US.
