Job Description

As the Senior Brand and Communications Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving effective communication within our global marketing team for Dailymotion Advertising. Your primary focus will be to develop and implement communication strategies that align with our company's vision, brand, and business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging that resonates with our target audience and supports our marketing efforts across diverse markets.

Responsibilities

  1. Global Communication Strategy:
    • Develop and execute a cohesive global communication strategy that aligns with the company's marketing goals, brand positioning, and target audience.
    • Define key messaging themes and ensure consistent communication across all channels, platforms, and markets.
    • Identify communication opportunities and develop plans to effectively convey the company's value proposition and marketing initiatives to the target audience.
  2. Strategic Communication Planning for Marketing Initiatives:
    • Collaborate closely with marketing leaders to understand business objectives and develop communication plans that support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Provide strategic guidance on messaging, content development, and communication channels to maximize the impact of marketing efforts and position Dailymotion Advertising as a leader and true expert in video advertising.
    • Ensure effective integration of communication strategies within overall marketing plans and activities.
  3. Brand Messaging and Positioning:
    • Define and maintain consistent brand messaging and positioning across all communication channels.
    • Work closely with the B2C brand team to ensure that brand values, tone, and voice are effectively communicated to external stakeholders and internal teams.
    • Develop guidelines and standards for brand communication to maintain a strong and cohesive brand image.
  4. Press Relations and Thought Leadership:
    • Lead the press relations efforts to establish and maintain strong relationships with journalists, reporters, and media outlets in the digital advertising industry.
    • Develop and implement a proactive media outreach strategy, including press releases, media pitches, and media alerts, to generate positive media coverage and raise the company's profile as a challenger in the market.
    • Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to stay informed about market developments and proactively address any potential issues or opportunities through strategic media engagement.
  5. Content Development and Management:
    • Lead the development and delivery of engaging and impactful content across various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, videos, social media content, and thought leadership pieces.
    • Ensure content is aligned with the company's strategic objectives, target audience, and communication channels.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Adops, Product, Sales and Marketing teams, and external partners to gather insights and create compelling content that resonates with the audience.
  6. Event Management:
    • Identify opportunities for thought leadership and expert commentary, positioning the company's executives as industry leaders and sought-after sources of insight within the digital advertising space.
    • Coordinate event logistics, including booth setup, staffing, collateral preparation, and scheduling of speaking engagements or panel discussions to maximize the company's presence and impact at trade events.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and executive leadership, to develop engaging and informative presentations, demos, and materials for trade events.
    • Measure the effectiveness and ROI of trade event participation, including lead generation, brand exposure, and industry networking, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  7. Internal Communication:
    • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure employees are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's marketing objectives and initiatives.
    • Plan and execute internal campaigns, newsletters, and other communication initiatives to foster a positive work culture and strengthen the bonds between the global business teams.
    • Support change management communication during organizational transitions or major marketing initiatives.
  8. Performance Measurement and Analysis:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of communication initiatives.
    • Monitor and analyze communication performance data to assess the success of campaigns, content engagement, and overall communication efforts.
    • Use data insights to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for enhancing communication strategies.
  9. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the communications team.
    • Ensure effective delegation of tasks, manage workload, and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of at least 8 years in communications roles, preferably within global marketing teams. A past experience in a digital advertising company is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising industry and global marketing trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in communication practices.
  • Leadership experience, including managing and developing a team
