Job Description

The cool stuff you’ll do:

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Development and working cross functionally, the OEM Sales Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing profitable relationships with current and future customers.  This includes working with various sales teams and company leadership to set the overall strategy for this market segment.

 

  • Identify prospective OEM customers and referral sources and implement a comprehensive strategy to maximize DataStax’s opportunities across all product lines
  • Develop a strategic and tactical sales strategy in conjunction with the Datastax leadership team
  • Develop and maintain senior level sponsorships with key partners, customers, and prospects to ensure attainment of company business goals
  • Sell and promote DataStax products to OEM partners, including price negotiation and managing business and legal interactions with internal and external teams around terms and conditions
  • Mentor and coach sales teams to drive and develop a strategic sales plan that identifies prospects and customers, prioritizes them according to importance and ability to provide results

Travel appropriately to meet with key customers, prospects and team members in territory

Qualifications

The stuff you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Dynamic, high-energy sales professional with 5+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience, as well as managing virtual sales teams
  • Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with new and existing customers with an identifiable track record of closing large contract sales opportunities
  • Strong understanding of the Big Data market
  • Experience holding executive level discussions with key customers, both prospective and existing
  • Ability to develop and implement competitive strategies for regional and vertical markets
  • Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with customers/prospects
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, with a proven track record of successful revenue attainment
  • Detail-oriented and excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with a winning attitude
  • Motivated self-starter capable of working independently

BA, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline is required
