Job Description

As our Streaming Community Manager, you are the voice of the developer at DataStax. You focus on the experience developers have with our products and obsess on how we can empower them to be more successful in their day to day engineering endeavors. This is your opportunity to come into a near greenfield environment and make an immediate impact on our users, our engineering teams, and our business. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, program managers, tech writers, and developer evangelists to build a world-class engineering platform that inspires developers to build their next great product with DataStax Astra and Apache Cassandra.

What you will do:

  • Deep knowledge of what makes great developer experiences and tooling

  • Create and lead DataStaxs API review process to ensure consistency and ease of use for all public-facing APIs

  • Regularly interact with developers to understand what types of developers experiences are valuable to them, and that best serve them in their day-to-day efforts and

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and internal engineers to create extraordinary user experiences.

  • Architect a highly usable and inspiring cloud developer experience

  • Mentor internal engineers on how-to architect and create tools that developers love

Your experience should include:

  • Industry influencer around developer frameworks

  • Full Stack developer

  • API tooling

  • Designing & developing APIs by using various programming languages depending on the product(s)
