General Description

Responsible for developing embedded software for Dattus various product development projects, including but not limited to new sensor technologies, data acquisition modules, and gateway devices. Also assist in the designing, prototyping, and testing of electronic circuits and other hardware. Work closely with the company’s technical team to identify / understand project requirements and develop timelines; including team members / contractors located remotely.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software systems for industrial data management and analytics.
• Specific tasks include efficient firmware code development, prototyping, testing, quality assessment, hardware software debugging, online solution deployment and continuous firmware upgrades.
• Work in dynamic startup environment and be an effective team player in cross functional teams comprising of various engineering and management expertise
• Available to communicate effectively with teams located overseas via Skype and other virtual communication modalities.
• Ensure timeline and effective execution of assigned tasks.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities through web and other media sources.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

1. BE/BTech, ME/MTech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication or related field with 2-4 years of work experience
2. Experience in developing software and products on Linux OS is desired.- Strong programming skills with C/C++, Python, Embedded C or Assembly etc. 
3. Familiar with GUI design for data collection from sensor system.-  Knowledge on Communication protocols like Ethernet, UART, WiFi, RS232, Zigbee, Bluetooth etc. 
4. Must have worked on atlest 2 or 3 of Embedded hardware communication protocols such as RS485, CAN, I2C, SPI, Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, GSM etc
5.  High degree of competence with Embedded Systems Programming, RTOS and DSP. Experience in firmware development ARM or Intel microprocessors.- 
6. Ability to read circuit diagrams and IC data sheets is must.- 
7. Knowledge of one industrial communication protocol is must (MODBUS, Ethernet/IP, Profinet,profibus,EtherCAT etc.)-
8. Experience in JAVA on Embedded Systems and Linux will be added advantage.- Knowledge on Keil, Code Composure Studio or other development tools is advantageous- 
9. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment- Excellent communicator. 
10. Should be able to communicate effectively with contractors, partners, and technical team located remotely (even internationally) via Skype and other virtual communication modalities- 
11. Capacity to assume more significant responsibilities over time.- Comfortable in and motivated by a startup environment; along with a willingness to grow with the company- 
12. Additional: MS-Excel, Word, PowerPoint- Soft skills: Self-starter, highly motivated to work in an early stage startup, team player, willing to take initiatives towards company’s vision for cloud based, industrial, machine-data management system.
